Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. This practice is both invigorating & stress reducing. All flows end in a time of relaxation (savasana).
Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. Chair yoga can help with people with limitations or it is just a great form of yoga for beginners or ANYONE who wants to focus on a gentle practice.
Gentle yoga lies somewhere along the spectrum between flow and a class that is mostly seated or with long holds (such as restorative or yin yoga). It offers nurturing, kindness, and compassion for the body, regardless of whether a student is injured or healthy, young or old, pregnant or not.
Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. ... During the long holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. An awesome, yummy treat for your body! The "more" is a guided meditation at the end of practice.
Invigorating vinyasa flow that will get you going for the weekend. Upbeat music will guide your practice and get your blood pumping, while maintaining, as always, your flow of breath. This class can be done by ALL levels and what a great way to start your day! All flows end in a time of relaxation (savasana).
