Mala Bead &
Mala is a Sanskrit term meaning "meditation garland." The Mala is a string of 108 beads. The 109th bead is called a guru bead and symbolizes gratitude and connection to the divine. Malas are used in a style of meditation known as Japa in which the repetition of a mantra is used as a tool to further direct attention toward a single point of focus. You will leave this workshop having made your own beautiful and unique mala to wear as a necklace or bracelet as well as the knowledge of how to use this tool during meditation. This workshop includes all materials and will end with a wonderful meditation with singing bowls! An optional social is in the plans for immediately after.

An emptied out Sanctuary, at nightfall, with candlelight and wonderful aromas swirling amidst. The yoga mats are placed in a large circle taking up this sacred space. Everyone has their own blankets and pillows on their mat and settle in for an hour long restorative yoga class. This is yummy in itself. Then, at some time during Savasana there is a shift. A shift to a beautiful sound bath of singing bowls and chimes from the center of the circle. We stay here for an hour. Soaking up all the good vibrations from these ancient instruments that have proven to be healing. What a beautiful way to de-stress and be prepared for the upcoming holiday season. Join us Friday evening, November 6th, from 6:30 to 8:30 to experience something magical. You will be so glad you did. Namaste friends.
Restorative yoga: What to bring to the party! 🧘🏻♀️⚛️✌🏼💟💗☮️🦋🕉If you are thinking about signing up for our upcoming event, “Pre-Holiday Stress-Away” or just want to practice at home, pictured here are some things to have handy. 💟☮️🕉⚛️ The practice of restorative yoga is nurturing to the body and soul, balances the nervous system, releases muscular tension, improves mobility and flexibility and stills the mind. 🦋✌🏼💗 🧘🏻♀️ 🧘🏽 🧘🏻♀️🧘🏽🧘🏻♀️ Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. If you take a restorative class, you may hardly move at all, doing just a few postures in the course of an hour. It is a completely different experience than most contemporary yoga.
